IT was a dream come true for a Pershore High School pupil when she found out she had been chosen to represent the Girl Guides at an international camp in Mexico.
Stephanie Bailey, an A-level student has been selected to represent the Cymru Guides after her leader Fiona Glen put her name forward to take a place on the Mexican trip.
The 17-year-old will leave for Mexico on Tuesday, December 27 with her Welsh Guides for the two-week trip.
Stephanie said: "I was extremely surprised when I was told. I couldn't believe it. I've always wanted to go to Mexico so it was a complete shock especially as I'm spending two weeks there. I can't wait."
Stephanie and her fellow Guides will spend her first week at the international camp meeting other Mexican Guides in Oaxtepec Morelos in Mexico.
She will then spend her second week with a Mexican family before returning home in January 2006.
