SOCCER: Malvern Town romped to a comfortable Worcestershire Senior Urn victory at lower-ranked Lye Town last night.
Neil Hunt's Midland Alliance high-fliers defeated the West Midlands League Premier Division outfit 4-1 in bad conditions.
Duncan Preedy put Malvern ahead on the half-hour mark before Dean Roberts added a quick-fire brace on 57 and 68 minutes.
Jonathan Atkinson finished off the fourth on 76 minutes but Lye added a late consolation through Carl Handley.
Meanwhile, Malvern Rangers' Smedley Crooke Cup tie at Barnt Green Spartak was postponed.
