A £2 MILLION project to improve the water supply for residents in Bewdley has begun.
Work is under way on the Severn Trent Water scheme in the Hales Park and Bark Hill areas of the town.
Old water mains will be replaced with new polyethylene pipes, which will result in a cleaner and more reliable supply and contractors are expected to complete the work by next May.
Project manager, Richard Jemmett, said: "We have decided to do this work in the winter as there is less tourist traffic at this time of the year."
