CHEERLEADERS from a Kidderminster school made plenty of noise as they supported England's young American football players against their Scottish counterparts.
The Birchen Coppice Middle School Pathfinder All-Stars - nine girls and three boys - were unable to prevent the Scots winning the match, in Birmingham, but were praised for their efforts.
Sponsored by Oldington and Foley Park Neighbourhood Management Pathfinder, the children had trained hard for their roles.
The squad's 12-year-old leader, said: "It was great to be able to cheer our England team on and the squad had a great time, despite the freezing cold."
Kidderminster's Henry Allen played at quarterback for the England side.
The Oldington and Foley Park Pathfinder project is backed by a grant from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.
