A DROITWICH arrowsmith has reached the Professional Darts Players Association (PDPA) World Championships.GOT THE WORLD IN HIS SIGHTS: Dave Honey has qualified for the PDPA World Championships.
Dave Honey won his qualifying board in Hull on Saturday to propel himself into the championships, which start on December 19.
Honey, who has just completed his first full year as a professional darts player, will clash with Adrian Lewis, who is 20th in the PDPA rankings, in the first round.
Honey said: "This is the biggest thing to happen to me in my short time in the game.
"But it's incredibly exciting, it'll be the biggest tournament I will have played in so far.
"I feel I have come a long way in a very short space of time."
To reach the World Championships Honey defeated Nick Fulwell 5-3 and sealed his place in the finals by getting the better of Paul Williams 5-3.
Honey was urged to go into professional darts by 'Crafty Cockney' Eric Bristow.
