REDDITCH keeper Nathan Vaughan is set to face a hostile reception at Barrow this weekend as United look to claim a crucial three points in front of a partisan Cumbrian crowd.
The Reds were beaten at Holker Street in their FA Trophy replay last week with the former Willenhall and Newport County stopper infuriating the home fans.
Vaughan was booked for his challenge on Barrow striker Gavin Knight before angering supporters by allegedly swearing at a ball boy as Reds looked to salvage something from the cup tie.
A letter has been sent to Redditch United chairman Pat Cremin complaining about the keeper's antics and another is thought to be on the way to the FA.
United boss Rod Brown said he would be speaking to the player this week and will warn him what to expect when the sides come face-to-face again on Saturday.
"I did not see anything myself and was not aware of it after the game," the manager said.
"I will be speaking to Nathan at training to find out what went on.
"The game up there was played in front of a hostile crowd and the abuse our players got was very bad. But if Nathan has done something like that then it is unacceptable and we will deal with it.
"Whatever happens he is sure to get a warm reception on Saturday. He is a good keeper and a nice lad but can be a bit of a loose cannon at times so he needs to be well drilled ahead of the match."
Brown is hoping to have injured trio Jermaine Clarke, Daire Doyle and Scott Dann back in contention for the trip north.
And former midfield favourite Richard Field could be back in a Redditch shirt after thinking over a return to the club after heading to Sutton Coldfield Town in the summer.
