ROGER Canavan, a member of the Amazing Feet Running Club, competed in two races in two days at the weekend.
After helping the club to a successful Cross Country League event at Droitwich on Saturday, with steep climbs and having to negotiate a deep ditch three times, less than 24 hours later Canavan was competing in a nine-mile category A fell race.
This race, in the hardest category, consisted of 2,400ft of climbing over three hills. Canavan completed the Cardington Cracker in two hours 20 minutes 37 seconds, for 217th position.
Matt Smith ran the Luton Marathon, recording 3-34-21 for 131st out of 426 finishers.
Daniela Maffei and Corin Elliott donned Father Christmas outfits to complete the 5k Santa Fun Run in Worcester, each clocking up 32 minutes.
Full results are not yet available from the second round of races in the Cross Country League, but 12 members finished the race, completing two full teams. The A team came 11th out of 15 clubs, and the B team were fifth in their competition.
