JUNIOR FOOTBALL: There were mixed fortunes for Redditch United Girls.
The u12s claimed an excellent 3-1 win at Bredon Colts in the Mercian League, despite conceding an early goal.
Abigail Hemming levelled the scores and then turned supplier for Polly Fletcher, before rounding off her Player of the Match display by scoring the third.
And the side played in a mini competition with Droitwich Devils, winning two games 4-1 and 2-0 and drawing the other 0-0. The Reds goals came from Olivia Shannon, Nicola Harris, Polly Fletcher and Jade Brisband with Harris named Player of the Tournament.
But there was disappointment for the u10s who went down 15-0 at Knowle Town, a result that saw them bow out of the Open Cup.
