Dudley Kingswinford Vets 10 Redditch Exiles 19
Good things come to those who wait and the Exiles have surely waited long enough, not just for the win but for the whole package - a display of running, tackling and passing.
It didn't start so well though as the heavier DKs pack disrupted the scrums and bagged the opening try.
The Exiles back row of Buck, Skelton and Ledoc harried, chased and generally annoyed their opposition so although DK probably had the lion's share of the possession they could do nothing with it.
When Redditch had the possession they looked dangerous especially down the wings.
From the second half kick-off the game turned on its head. A clean catch and lay off gave the tireless Buck the room to run back past the opposing pack and lay off to Ledoc for the try to level the game.
Redditch grew in confidence and their reward came in the form of a Bradley try which Thomas converted.
The home side reduced the arrears but Exiles finished strongly and Taylor pounced on a loose pass on halfway and couldn't be caught scoring under the posts.
Thomas slotted home his second conversion and DK were beaten.
