A GOOD turnout for Evesham's Under 7s allowed for two sides of mixed experience to tackle Droit-wich.
Evesham made a slow start in the opener and conceded a couple of early scores.
The Avon Street youngsters battled well with the more experienced boys supporting the new starters and Giovanni Capaldi scoring his first try for the club in an 8-3 defeat.
Lewis Cochrane and Will Farrell also touched down and the former was again a scorer second time out when Droitwich recorded a 10-5 triumph.
Archie Bilcliffe and Finlay Keyte were the other scorers with the latter winning the player of the match vote over the two games.
The club's Under-8s turned in a strong display against a well organised Droitwich side to win the opening match four tries to three.
James Muir, Harry Howells and Tom Farrell scored the Evesham tries and more fine play from Muir earned him the overall player of the match award after a 2-1 reverse in the second match.
Evesham were caught cold by the pace of the revised Droitwich attack and went down to a well-worked early try.
They then found their earlier form and battled strongly producing some first class tackles and holding the Droitwich side back.
Charlie Roberts grabbed his side's solitary score but the losers were made to pay for their early lapse in concentration.
