ART lovers in Bromsgrove are in for a treat this month when two contrasting exhibitions start on Wednesday, December 7 at the Artrix.
Bromsgrove based artist Frances Lloyd explores pollution and the disposable society with her Abstract Environments collection, while Ada Gaden's Hoofbeats expresses the majesty of horses.
Lloyd investigates the problem of waste by working with organic and artificial materials to startling effect. Gaden tries to capture the power and presence of thoroughbred horses with a series of paintings. Both artists created much of their work while completing a HNC course at NEW College and are studying an art degree in Solihull.
