WORK on revamping the town's busy bus station is almost completed.
The bus station area has now re-opened, but the bridge is still closed.
Bromsgrove district councillor Rita Dent (Con-St John's) said the bridge was currently unsafe, but she was awaiting a quote from the county council for the work to be done.
Cllr Dent said she was really pleased with the work, but there were concerns over pedestrians who were cutting across the bus station when they should now use the pedestrian crossing. She explained: "People are still walking across the bus station by the stationery shop, but they really need to use the pedestrian crossing on the corner by Iceland to get across this road.
"We don't want people walking across the bus station road from Mill Lane or Market Street as there could be an accident," she added.
