FUTURE Olympic gymnasts could be reared in Redditch - if appeals for cash for a new gym hall are answered.
Members of Wythall Gymnastics Club appealed for help to raise £150,000 in the Advertiser two weeks ago, but so far no-one has come forward.
Deputy head coach Susan Hemus said there was an urgent need for a new state-of-the-art hall because conditions at Coppice Primary School in Wythall were too cramped.
The club has about 100 members aged three to 16, but not all disciplines can be practised due to the size of the hall.
Susan said: "We have a huge amount of equipment in storage but nowhere to put it.
"We have had no response from the public to help us so far, but we would urge them to give our appeal further thought.
"If we do get a new building on the school grounds, we plan to open it for all the family.
"We would include cheerleader and dance classes and encourage children not only to become Olympic champions, but to enjoy themselves and be fit."
The club also aims to apply for grants from agencies such as Sport England.
