LAST week's wintry weather caused the cancellation of matches in the Cotswold Floorball League but Tuesday night's action more than made up for the night off!
A marathon six matches were completed in the D Division with newcomers Swell suffering a heavy defeat at the hands of CCS.
Josh Needham netted five, with Leon Ballard and Will Valli also netting in a a 7-0 victory.
Swell improved steadily next time out only losing to two well-taken Lauren Berry goals against Bredon Hill.
They then went ahead in the game against Temple Guiting with a strike from Tom Bellamy only to lose out to a brace from Jemma Moore.
In their final game, Bellamy again scored first and Swell held out to register the victory over Willersey.
The night's other matches saw Bredon Hill lose 2-0 to a bobbling shot from Willersey's Charlie Lucas and a freak own goal, while Temple Guiting survived a scoreless draw with Willersey.
Temple Guiting are the D Division's sole representative in the play-offs despite only scoring four goals in their five games!
There's B Division action for St Mary's, Mickleton, CCS and Willersey tonight, while next Tuesday it's the turn of top flight sides CCS, Ilmington and St Catharine's.
Play-off places are still at stake for all the primary school teams involved.
