THE European Indoor Rowing Championships took place at Copenhagen's Gladsaxe Sportshal last weekend.
The British team numbered nearly 60 competitors, however the Old Wrecks club were thinly represented due to clashes with other events and to illness.
In the men's 40-49 lightweight, Duncan Paterson set a good pace to take a bronze medal in six minutes 33.2 seconds. Neil Little came sixth in the 50-59 category (7.12.2).
Sue Little came away with the bronze medal in the women's 50-59 lightweight in 7.44.3, missing out on silver by two-hundredths of a second.
In the women's 50-59, world champion Anna Bailey competed just two weeks after sustaining a broken wrist and rowed just for fun - and one-handed - to finish in 7.58.1 for fifth and still beating a trio of opponents.
Evesham-based coach Eddie Fletcher was in attendance and saw several of his non-OW trainees from around the UK coming away with medals and personal bests.
