TEMPTING treats from across the globe were sold at St Stephen's First School to raise cash for the South Asian Earthquake Appeal.
Indian delicacies including pakoras and samosas were sold alongside traditional cakes and biscuits to parents, students and staff after the annual harvest assembly.
The sale, along with other generous donations, raised £689 for the appeal, which continues to help those devastated by the earthquake in India and Pakistan.
A school spokesman said: "We were really pleased with how much we raised. It was obviously something of great importance to parents, pupils and staff at the school."
The Maybe Avenue school also welcomed a new headteacher at the start of the autumn term.
Kathy Skan took over from Janet Nesbitt, who retired at the end of the summer.
