FOUR students from Tobi Ishi Kai Karate School in Worcester successfully completed a dan grading after a gruelling weekend of training.
The grading comprised of four and a half hours of training followed by a further eight hours the following day.
Justine Wilson 38, Hannah McNulty 15, Katrina Wilson 12 and Chloe Hooper 11 years all passed their first dan grading with an exceptionally high standard.
Instructor Mark Beeby, fourth dan, was pleased with the performance of his students and said that he had never experienced a dan grading that had required such endurance.
Their success was testament not only to their technical abilities, but also to their fitness.
Tobi Ishi Kai Karate Schools hold a number of training sessions throughout Worcestershire including the Lyppard Grange Com-munity Centre.
