A CHILDREN'S Christmas panto workshop has proved the most successful to date.
The yearly event at Worcester's Manor Park Special School, off Turnpike Close, in St John's, saw an entire play being rehearsed and costumes and scenery made in the morning before the afternoon performance.
This year's Christmas Cracker Pantomime production, held on Saturday, was Sinbad And The Cross Of Christmas Island.
A BBC television director was on hand to coach the children in their drama workshop and performance, while a team of artists, face painters and helpers worked with youngsters designing costumes and stage scenery.
Tim Lovell, event co-ordinator, said: "It went really well. It was the most successful year so far.
"It is the fifth year we have done it and we had more than 50 children take part. The number has risen from around 30. The main aim is to keep children busy."
for absolutely every minute they are with us."
