THE Christian Aid lunch last Friday was enjoyed by a lot of people and £240 was raised for this national appeal. Jane is very grateful to all the many helpers and those who attended.

The council has filled up the yellow salt and gravel bins around the village, which are for our use and will be replenished when they are empty. Even though going out with a shovel on an icy morning is no fun it will at least help to reduce accidents to traffic and pedestrians.

Newcomers may like to be reminded that there is a regular circle dance evening on the first Friday of each month. The next is tonight (Friday) at 8pm. Apart from being a good way to keep fit, it is great fun and the music is live at every session, played by our own Olivia and Richard Hunt.

The garden club has its Christmas meeting on December 14, which will include seasonal fare and mulled cider following a talk and demonstration of the ancient craft of willow working by Steve Crofts from Castlemorton.
