COLWALL opened the scoring in this Severn division one match when Nicky Glover converted a cross from Anna Stocker on the right.
COLWALL WHC 5, DURSLEY 3
Colwall went further ahead when Stocker tried to force the ball past the keeper, and Glover was on hand to pick up the rebound.
Dursley fought back to level to score at 2-2, and only a couple of good saves by goalkeeper Carole Ward, including one with her head, and an excellent clearance off the goal line by Laura Entwistle, kept the scores level.
Colwall struck again just before half-time when a superb run from her own half saw Lucy Halligan create havoc in the Dursley defence. The ball broke to Jackie Styles who passed the ball to Glover to score from close range.
Colwall started strongly after the break, and Styles flicked the ball to Glover for her to score her fourth goal of the match. Styles was in the acton again for Colwall's fifth goal, when she diverted a good cross from Jill Miles into the roof of the net. Dursley scored a late consolation goal to make the final score 5-3.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Colwall play a league match against Cheltenham Civil Service at Dean Close, Cheltenham, starting at 9.45am.
