CHILDREN from Worcest-ershire can experience a Santa's grotto with a difference if they visit the county's highly acclaimed environmental education centre.
Santa will be in a futuristic hideaway, called Home for Life, at the Bishops Wood Centre near Stourport, where he will be handing out presents from Tuesday, Dec-ember 6.
A trail of red lights will lead visitors through the woods to the grotto and a choir will be singing carols to add to the festivities. Christmas refreshments will also be available. Head of the centre John Rhymer said: "Our family Christmas treat gives everyone the chance to visit our centre and experience the magic of the woodlands at night. While the children take away their presents, their parents can take away a few ideas of how to have a greener Christmas." Santa will be at the centre from 6.30pm to 9pm. Admission is free to adults and £1.50 for children. The centre is run by the National Grid, Worcestershire County Council, Worcester Techn-ology and Friends of Bishops Wood. It is off the A4025 at Crossway Green.
