ANDY Brown and Duncan Taylor provided some first class darts to waltz into the next round of the Banks's Bewdley darts doubles knockout on Friday night.

The defending champions from the Waggon B team opened their account with a convincing victory over finalist of three years ago John Mountfield and Steve Bradbury from the Black Boy.

When the action started Brown and Taylor were in league of their own, hardly ever missing the doubles and rolling off 100 after 100.

And despite some good play from Mountfield and Bradbury they simply could not compete with the trophy holders, eventually going out 2-0 and missing out on a place in the last 16.

Cock & Magpies' Neil Harrison and Dave Pearce won through to the last 16 against Black Boys' Craig Bridgwater and Paul Juggins.

Pearce, not having one of his better nights, left all the hard work to partner Harrison for the 2-0 victory.

Bliss Gates' Matt Sheehan and Kevin Biggs saw off Tom Denty and Dave Bridgewater 2-0 to confrim their status as second favourites to win the competition.

Richard Babb hit a 100 clock out as he and Carroll Pointon beat Bas Taylor and Gary Hodgkins 2-0 in a tight game.
