BEWDLEY Town secured another three points away from home by doing the double over Pelsall Villa in West Midlands League premier division.
Craig Payton's men's 3-1 victory followed their 4-1 home win earlier in the season and them up to fifth in the table.
Starting downhill on their heavily sloped pitch, Pelsall took an early lead when Bewdley failed to clear and Andy Reid fired home.
Their lead only lasted seven minutes though as Bewdley hit back through Chris Hough who beat his marker before drilling a left foot shot past the keeper.
In the second half Bewdley piled on the pressure with Jamie Hart, Lewis Pountney and Sam Pountney forcing some excellent saves from Pelsall keeper Adam Jenkins.
The pressure paid off on 65 minutes though when a Gary Middleton free kick was delivered across the six-yard box for L Pountney to slide the visitors in front.
Bewdley picked up three bookings for retaliation as tempers boiled over, but after more good goalkeeping from Jenkins, Hart sealed victory with a fine finish after a defence-splitting through ball by Keith Elliott.
Boss Payton said: "It was a tough game. Pelsall were clearly out for retribution from our first meeting and after two minutes thought they might get it.
"However the lads played superbly and deserved the win."
Bewdley travel to lower table Heath Hayes on Saturday, kick-off 2.45pm.
