WORCESTER Women's Firsts won their first English National South hockey game of the season in style, hammering leaders Swansea 5-2.
They got off to a slow start and ended the first-half 2-0 down with 10 players after conceding two early goals.
But a comeback of epic proportions was started by Liz George who calmly converted an Elaine Shepperd free hit at the far post.
After a well-worked move, Rachel Creese roofed her shot to level the match.
Now back to full strength, Worcester controlled the match and Creese bagged her second from a short corner.
Worcester's defence stayed solid with Becky Close outstanding on her English League debut.
And Creese bagged her hat-trick by converting another short corner before George's deflected cross completed the scoring.
Worcester lost 3-1 at St Albans in the first of their weekend matches with a superb Shepperd finish putting them on the scoresheet.
The city face a crucial six-pointer at home to fellow strugglers Exmouth on Saturday.

Chris Adams shot wide from Malcolm Evans' pass, while Hugh Crighton and Ali Wilkinson forced short corners.
Worcester hit a penalty stroke straight at the 'keeper on 40 minutes but Khalsa did not make the same mistake soon after.
The visitors did pull one back when John Sprague deftly angled an Adams cross into the roof of the net.
n The Thirds were well beaten 4-0 at third-placed Beeston in the Midlands Premier.
A team mixed with youth and experience were caught cold by an early goal and conceded again from a short corner.
Youngsters Sam Swinbourne and Chris Miles produced two good chances but Beeston scored a third against the run of play.
Worcester's second-half display was much better as the old head of Rob Bonham in midfield allowed Worcester to compete although the hosts grabbed a late fourth.
Worcester Fourths triumphed 4-3 in a crunch West Midlands Premier clash with Cannock Sixths.
The hosts went a goal down against the run of play but Phil Jones let rip with a corking equaliser.
Minutes later, Jones set up Tom Coleman to net a tap-in and then John Senior casually hit home a third goal.
Worcester were on fire against the strongest team in the league but conceded two quick goals after the break.
However, the city side raised their game again with Paul Sharratt and Simon Tinley both going close.
Scott Seckham struck the winner after Jones beat two players and provided the pass.
n Worcester Fifths lost 2-1 to Old Wolves in a disappointing match between the Premier's two bottom sides.
Ben Mullett squared for Tim Martin to level during the match but Old Wolves hit two from short corners.
n The long-awaited fixture between Worcester Sixths and Sevenths was overshadowed by an injury to Sixths' skipper Paul Simons.
The Sevenths triumphed 2-1 but Simons' knee injury caused a 15-minute stoppage. After a goal-less first-half, the Sevenths caught their opponents short at the back with two goals.
Doughty pulled a goal back with 15 minutes left following Munday's run.
n Worcester Badgers Pippins beat Stourport 5-0 with a fine display but it was a close contest.
Worcester took the lead with a good move finished by Alex Lam and then Chris Kendall beat several players before smashing in a second.
In the second-half, Lam and Kendall both added to their tally, while Marcus Blane added the final goal.
