STRAWBERRY and raspberry growers in the region have experienced a bumper autumn harvest, thanks to an inspired planting strategy and excellent weather.
Raspberry volumes have increased six times over on last year's figures and strawberry growers have also had a hugely successful autumn as the public appetite for soft fruit continues to increase.

"In an increasingly competitive market place, it's fantastic that we're able to report news that is so positive, reducing imports and providing additional employment at the traditional end to the English season."
