A TESCO manager is gearing up for a long-distance walk to raise hundreds of pounds for cancer research and Kemp Hospice - without even leaving the store.
The Kidderminster superstore's customer service manager, Barbara Ward, will wear a pedometer to log how far she travels up and down the aisles over five days.
The Wyre Forest committee of Cancer Research UK has teamed up with Kemp Hospice to run the event. They will be outside the Weavers Wharf store today and tomorrow asking shoppers to guess how many miles Mrs Ward will walk, for £1 a go, to win a prize.
