IR - I noted Droitwich Town Councillor John Cook's criticism of drivers who chose to drive on during the two minutes silence on Friday, November 11. Here are my observations.
Two 20-somethings walked through lines of people as we said the Lord's Prayer and several middle-aged men talked during the entire service on Sunday at our war memorial in Upton.
They were lined up against Ye Olde Anchor Inn nattering and sniggering throughout in stark contrast to the primary school children standing a few yards in front who were capable of standing still and quiet.
What an example. I'm sure those responsible will recognise themselves when they see this in your newspaper.
