A KIDDERMINSTER schoolboy will be dancing his heart out at a competition in Somerset later this month.
Elliot Orban, of Longfellow Green, Offmore, won a weekly freestyle dance contest at Pontin's Southport Holiday centre while on holiday with his mother in July.
He was the winner of the category for five to seven-year-olds and has been invited back to take part in the finals at Pontin's Brean Sands holiday centre on Saturday, December 10.
The five-year-old, who attends Offmore First School, will have to impress the judges with his dance moves in the semi-finals to earn a place in the grand final.
Elliot, who enjoys football and reading as well as dancing, has a busy week ahead of him, as he will also be playing Joseph in his school nativity play.
His mother, Allison McGarragh, who teaches a music and movement class for toddlers, said she was really proud of him, adding: "On the last night of the holiday he decided he was going to have a go. He did really well. He has watched me dance so much he has picked up on what I do.
"He was absolutely thrilled when he won. He got a medal and a certificate and he took them into school with him."
