WYRE Forest Symphony Orchestra will conclude its 30th anniversary celebrations with a concert at St John's Church on Saturday, December 10.
The orchestra, which has around 50 members, will be performing the overture to Rossini's Italian Girl in Algiers, Schumann's Concerto for Four Horns and Tchaikovsky'S Symphony No 4 in F minor.
The four horn players will be Alison Bach, Hazel Whitefoot, Simon Hall and Nicky Daw.
Alison is in her third year at Birmingham Conservatoire and is also the principal horn of CBSO Youth Orchestra. She regularly plays with Chandos Symphony Orchestra, Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra, Central England Ensemble and Queen's Park Sinfonia.
Hazel studied at University College Cardiff with Bill Davies and began teaching for Worcestershire Youth Music in 1992. She has been a member of WFSO for 20 years.
Simon began playing the horn at the age of 11, progressing through the Birmingham School Orchestras and becoming principal horn of the then Midland Youth Orchestra at the age of 17. He now plays in orchestras in North Wales, Chester, Manchester, Birmingham and Worcestershire and has been a member of the Chandos Symphony Orchestra under Michael Lloyd since 1987.
Nicky, who studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire, plays with many leading orchestras including CBSO, Welsh National Opera, English String Orchestra, Birmingham Royal Ballet and the Chandos Symphony Orchestra.
