A KIDDERMINSTER grandmother is looking forward to making her TV debut on Monday after pitting her wits on The Weakest Link.
Val Crumpton, who lives in Franche Road, was picked from thousands of hopefuls and went before the cameras last week.
The 60-year-old, who works as a cleaner at St Barnabas School, came through an audition in Birmingham before facing up to presenter, Anne Robinson.
She added: "I have always wanted to do something like this and I just decided to give it a go. It came as a bit of a shock when I found out I had got through.
"The whole day was fantastic and it was a great experience. I am sure people who know me will make some comments after seeing the show."
The keen darts player added the tough presenter did aim some wisecracks her way during filming but said: "It was just a bit of fun."
The show airs on BBC2.
