ANYONE wishing to research the history of their house is invited to an exhibition at Chaddesley Corbett on Tuesday.
It will be presented by the Chaddesley Corbett Local History Society and shows progress to date on a three-year research project, which notes changes in housing and land use in the parish between 1745 and 1830 traced by the way of maps, sales particulars and schedules.
The society obtained a grant for the project from The Local Heritage Initiative, which is a national grant and advice scheme devised and run by the Countryside Agency on behalf of the Heritage Lottery Fund and is supported by the Nationwide Building Society.
Some of the maps, which have been digitised by the Worcester Historic Environment and Archaeology, will be on display and there will be presentations from two village house histories, which have been undertaken by their owners.
The project is part of a wider survey called The Worcestershire Tithe and Inclosure Map Project, being undertaken by the county's archaeology service.
Mapping the Past will be held at Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall and will begin at 7.30pm. Admission is free.
