SCHOOLCHILDREN in Kidderminster have been using their artistic skills to paint pictures of cows as part of a fund-raising campaign.
Roberta Donkin, 8, of St Barnabas CE First School, Charlotte Keelan, 8, of St Mary's CE First School, Joseph Dale, 9, of Upper Arley CE First School, Naomi Wright, 10 and Hannah Sutton,9, both of Sladen CE Middle School, were chosen as winners and awarded prizes by West Midland Safari Park on Tuesday.
The contest was run as part of the campaign organised by St Mary's and All Saints Church, Kidderminster, in aid of the charity, Send a Cow. So far, £2,000 has been raised.
It aimed to involve the schoolchildren in the project and help teach them about the work of the charity.
The money will be used to equip a farm in Africa with animals including cows, chickens and pigs, as well as providing two years' education and training.
