DOLPHIN, the Worcester- based computer software company that specialises in products for the visually impaired, has launched Pocket Hal, a screen reader developed specifically for standard digital organisers.
With massive investment programmes in mobile technology, Personal Digital Assistants - digital organisers - are fast becoming the preferred IT solution for the mass market, with products becoming ever more affordable across the world.
Dolphin has developed the Pocket Hal screen reader so that blind and low vision computer users can have access to the same levels of technology, at the same regular prices, as that enjoyed by their sighted colleagues.
The firm, which has its headquarters in Blackpole, was set up in 1986 and now has wholly owned subsidiaries in Sweden and America. It employs more than 60 people worldwide.
