Bromsgrove II 2,
Badsey Ladies 3
FOLLOWING the cancellation of the previous week's game due to the frosty weather, Badsey were keen to get back into some serious action.
They dominated the first half of Saturday's league game with some good passing moves and should have been a couple of goals ahead by half-time.
Angela Heath was in spar-kling form on the right wing and she provided excellent crosses that just eluded Nikki Wright and Zoe Hodgkins.
The game really hotted up in the second half when Bro-msgrove took the lead after the Badsey defence went missing.
The visitors then had to absorb a period of pressure from the rejuvenated hosts but they weathered the storm and equalised with a fine short corner strike from Hodgkins.
Bromsgrove again took the lead midway through the half but Badsey retaliated with a lovely goal after an excellent free hit from Sarah Turner went straight through to Shelley Banner who cracked the ball past the goalkeeper.
With time running out and both sides were looking for a winner, it was Badsey who found it when player of the match Lynn Ellarby found the net following a super piece of individual skill.
Badsey travel to Birming-ham on Saturday for an 11am start against Harborne.
