UPTON Snodsbury took the honours in Sunday's local derby with Peopleton - the first top flight encounter between the two sides.
The hosts produced some of their best football of the season and comfortably led with goals from Spencer (2) and McLean before two late goals from the visitors led to a tense finish.
Broadway United gained a welcome win at fellow Birdseye Sports Evesham League strugglers Inkberrow where the highlight was a Danny Wakefield treble.
Mickleton Rangers opened their season's account with victory at Moreton Wanderers. The visitors led with goals from Lewis, Donnison and an own goal before Wanderers attempted a comeback with goals from Sheridan and Mills.
Alderton remain second in Division Two following a 4-0 defeat of Tewkesbury thanks to goals from Ellis (2), Rowland and Reid.
In the third division, goals from Martin, Clements and Mullins defeated Sporting Theocs while Ashton edged out Pinvin in a seven-goal thriller.
Broadway's second string won their fourth league game and, with games in hand, could yet mount a promotion challenge after goals from Cumberland and Latham defeated Lenches Lions.
Riverside gained victory at Cider Mill thanks to a double from Heritage. Gate Inn hit seven at Pebworth with Rainey taking the honours with five goals.
Bengeworth Sports also found the net seven times with Webb (2), Gresty, Milward, Wicks and Clements all on target against Blue Maze.
Evesham WMC progressed in the Evesham Mechanical Services Subsidiary Cup with a five-goal haul against Shipston Excelsior.
Ambassador and Red Horse both reached the last eight of the WFA Sunday Junior Cup, while Defford and Besford, Bretforton Old Boys, Gardeners Arms and Eckington progressed in the Minor Cup.
