TWO late tries helped Bromsgrove under-11s beat Malvern 10-5 on Sunday.
The young Boars were made to work hard by their Worcestershire rivals, who pounced on an early error to open the scoring.
Bromsgrove went into the second half trailing, but increased the effort to force their opponents back into the their own half.
Jake Perryman came close, but was held up over the try-line after some tight Malvern defending.
The breakthrough came from the resulting scrum when Will Patterson took the ball and touched down. Billy Grant received a short pass to score the winning try late on.
Droitwich under-15s drew with Willenhall 5-5, after Harry Baillie touched down.
Jack Richards bagged two touchdowns as Droitwich under-8s defeated Longlevens 20-0. Arron Barber and Angus Thomas also scored.
In the second match Spa ran out 25-20 winners, with Peter Bedborough (2), Jack Richards, Joshua Bowie and Angus Thomas scoring.
Spa were then edged 25-20 by Longlevens, despite tries for Richard Middleton (3) and Jack Weston. Droitwich under-11s beat Longlevens 31-14 on Sunday.
Reubon Smith grabbed three tries as Bromsgrove under-7s beat Malvern 45-25. James Smalley (2), Megan Moss, WIlliams Moss and Charlie Marshall also scored.
In the second game Bromsgrove lost 30-20, despite Harry Brown and Ben Evans (3) scoring.
In the third match Bromsgrove hit back by winning 20-15, with Marhsall (3) and Sam Lee scoring tries.
