The November meeting opened as usual with the singing of Jerusalem.
Our president, Brenda Jenkins, welcomed members to the AGM, including the WI advisor Ann Smith.
Members stood for one minute remembering the passing away of long time friends Grace Downing and June Lea.
Minutes were read and signed.
Brenda, Roma, and Betty gave their annual reports for the year 2005. Each one recalling enjoyable times spent with members of our WI.
Betty read out a very amusing poem, recalling the thoughts of being a treasurer.
Joyce Karle gave an interesting account of the council meeting.
The committee for 2006 will be Roma - president, Marie - secretary, Betty - treasurer. Other members are Norma, Rene, Joyce, Barbara and Kate. Our thanks go to Brenda, who is retiring this coming year after a job very well done.
Roma still hosts the craft afternoons, also whist groups, but would like more members to take part.
Invitations were accepted to attend meetings at Fairfield and Finstall.
Brenda thanked members for making 2005 an enjoyable year.
Our first meeting for 2006 will be held on January 10 at The Masonic Hall, Churchfields, at 2.15pm.
