PERSHORE Town produced one of their best results of the season just days after manager Adam Ward resigned.
Ward cited work and family commitments as the reason for his departure after seeing his side thrashed 8-2 by Bromsgrove Rovers in the Worcester-shire Senior Urn.
However, the players, including their former player/manager, responded in fabulous fashion with a 4-0 Midland Combination Premier Division triumph.
Simon Judge and Andrew Hodgetts both netted twice in the clash with Highgate United and temporary boss Glen Brotherton will be hoping for more of the same at Bridgnorth on Saturday when Ward won't be involved in any capacity.
