A CHARITY Commission report on an investigation into allegations of financial mismanagement at a Redditch charity can be expected in the new year.
The investigation into Step Out Drop In (SODI), led by former Redditch Council Leader David Cartwright, began earlier this year and the charity closed in September after hitting a cash crisis.
A spokesman for the Charity Commission told the Advertiser a draft inquiry report had been given to SODI's trustees to allow them time to look at it and make comments.
She said they did not expect to publish the final report until at least February as no final reports were being published over the Christmas period.
She added: "By the time the report is published there is hopefully a useful ending to the story.
"We aim, as always, to try to get charities back on a proper footing but bearing in mind the current state of this charity, then it's the case we make sure any assets are returned to the right place."
