THE League of Friends are celebrating another hugely successful year of funding vital equipment for patients.
The Friends have spent £38,652 on patient armchairs, £18,675 on specialised beds, £14,368 on items for the new MRI suite and £7,477 on various pieces of equipment for the Cardiac Care Unit.
Members have also raised enough cash to spend £3,335 on furnishings for the children's outpatient clinic and £2,650 on chemotherapy caps and a freezer for the garden suite. A total of £126,000 was paid out.
The Friends have also committed £24,000 towards purchasing a symbiotic man for the new education and training department which is due to be opened next year.
