BRIGHT and bold Christmas displays are what housing chiefs in Worcestershire and Herefordshire are on the lookout for on residents' homes for a festive decoration competition.
Marches Housing Association tenants are being urged to make their displays bigger, brighter and bolder than ever before as its Dazzling Dwellings challenge gets under way. This year, the battle will be fiercer than usual as not only are Marches' tenants competing among themselves, Hereford-shire Housing and Kemble Housing tenants have also been invited to take part.
Each association will choose winners among its own tenants in two categories - best decorated house/garden and best window display with Marches awarding vouchers up to the value of £100.
Six first place winners will then be put forward for the final Dazzle Off where one tenant or family will win an additional, grand prize of a luxury Christmas hamper.
Tenants can obtain entry forms from its office at Lion Court, Leominster, HR6 8LE, or by calling 01568 610100.
Entries must be received by Friday, December 9, with initial judging taking place the following week.
l Award-winning garden centre Webbs of Wychbold has also teamed up with the Worcester News to find the loveliest light decorating a home or region.
Judges will choose winners from Worcester, Droitwich, Kiddermin-ster, Bromsgrove and Redditch respectively, each winning decorations worth more than £100 and £50 of Webbs vouchers.
Entries, together with a photo of your illuminations and contact details should be sent to: Marketing Department, Webbs of Wychbold, Droitwich Spa, Worcestershire WR9 0DG.
The closing date is on Monday, December 5, with the winners to be announced after Monday, December 12.
