A CANDLELIT vigil was held outside Worcester's Guildhall in an attempt to raise awareness of the horror of domestic violence.
The event, which took place on Friday evening, also marked the launch of a partnership between West Mercia Police and various groups in the city.
Worcestershire Domestic Violence Forum was one of those involved.
The chairwoman of the forum's Public Awareness Task Group, Susan Pinfold-Brown, said: "A victim suffers domestic violence every minute, so we welcome this opportunity to work in partnership and raise awareness about domestic violence.
"We are particularly focusing on young people, the impact it can have on them, and how to encourage them to have healthy relationships."
