MOTORISTS in Worcester should brace themselves for hold-ups as roadworks continue next month.

Lane closures will be in place in Bromwich Road, College Street and City Walls Road on Sunday, December 4, for Balfour Beatty to carry out works on behalf of electricity firm Central Networks.

One lane will be closed in Bromwich Road on the approach to the Bull Ring roundabout while the outside lane in City Walls Road will be closed on the approach to the Sidbury junction.

There will also be temporary lights in place in Bath Road on the same day for BT to carry out works.

There will also be temporary lights in Newtown Road on Wednesday, December 7, for Stennard Harrison to undertake works.

Further road closures, which are yet to be announced, will also be implemented on Sunday, December 4, for the charity Christmas fun run around the city.

Meanwhile, all road closures put in place for the Victorian Fayre should be lifted by today and traffic should be flowing normally.
