SIR New rules were introduced two months ago on the acceptability of photos sent in for new passports.
Since then, 14 per cent of the photos provided have been rejected including ones taken by professional photographers. Reasons given included "son's buck teeth were not acceptable" and "child was too shiny".
At this rate, in a year, nearly one million photos will be rejected at huge expense and waste of time for everyone involved. What hope for ID cards?

Leigh Sinton.
