Sixty people, including children, were entertained by the cast of four young actors of the Looking Glass Theatre. Each played at least two characters to weave and create The Headless Horseman, a tale of the supernatural based in a village pub with a strange secret.
The production incorporated dance, melodrama, audience participation and suspense. This professional company has been touring since October. Sponsored by Shindig and Powick Parish Hall, the group performed at the hall on Sunday and set up and dismantled their own stage and props before returning to their Northants base.
Special thanks to Julia Evans and helpers, who provided a cooked meal for the cast on one of the coldest nights so far and for serving tea during the interval. The raffle was won by Phil Bunyan and Andrew Evans.
