WITNESSES will be summoned to tell Worcester Crown Court exactly what happened when a man with a shotgun rushed into an Upton pub.
Tim Bayliss, aged 37, of Stratford Bridge, Ripple, was arrested following a six-hour armed siege at the King's Head in July 20.
At a hearing in September, he pleaded guilty to possessing a gun with intent to cause fear of violence, possessing a gun while causing criminal damage and causing criminal damage.
Bayliss appeared in court again this week in front of Judge Andrew Geddes. Defence counsel Andrew Wallace said Bayliss denied pointing the gun at anyone, but prosecutor Richard Adams said the Crown did not accept this.
Judge Geddes said whether or not he had pointed the gun at anyone could affect his sentence.
He ruled that witnesses should attend court at a date to be fixed for a judge to determine from the evidence what actually happened. Bayliss was remanded in custody.
