SIR In reply to Councillor Alex Kear's letter headlined "We're not biased about wheelies," I could see a problem with wheelie bins allocated to the flats in Ribble Close, Worcester.
My wife contacted the wheelie bin help line to express her concern, only to be told that she was the only one to contact them from that area and that the bins had been allocated and would be delivered.
So I wrote to the city council to express my concern over the allocated wheelie bins. The city council was not even courteous enough to reply to my letter.
So as I see it, there is no point in contacting your local councillor, nothing will get done.
It was not that long ago that I applied for planning permission for an extension to my property. The planning department would only consider it if I first built a bin storage area, which had to be brick-built with a door on it. How the rules are changed to suit themselves.
JOHN COAD,
Worcester.
