A month of forest fun is planned for visitors to Worcestershire's Wyre Forest in the run-up to Christmas.
Activities range from craft workshops and games to woodland walks and carol singing, in the glorious forest landscape.
The Forest Friends club for pre-school children and their parents or carers will be held on Thursdays, December 1, 8 and 15 with a different activity each week. Those attending should meet at the Wyre Forest Visitor Centre near Bewdley at 10am for the hour-long session. The cost is £1.50 per child and booking is not required.
Walks for a healthier life are on the agenda for December 4, 6, 11, 13, 18 and 20 when a trained leader will take visitors through the Wyre Forest. These events are ideal for improving fitness, enjoyment and creating a healthier lifestyle.
Walkers should meet at the visitor centre at 10.30am for an 11am start. There is no charge or need to book.
On Wednesday, December 7, people can join a forest ranger for a gentle stroll through the Wyre Forest to see the stark beauty of the wintry woods and any signs of wildlife.
The walk will last about two hours and will be no longer than four miles. Meet at the visitor centre for 10am for coffee. The walk starts at 10.30am and costs £3. Booking is not required.
A festive note will sound in the forest on Saturday, December 17, when visitors can enjoy carol singing amid the glorious winter landscape. Meet at the visitor centre at 2.30pm and wear warm clothing. Booking is not required.
Anyone who likes the natural look for their festive decorations can go along to a Christmas decorations workshop using materials from the forest on Tuesday, December 20, from 2pm to 4pm. People are advised to wear warm clothing and meet at the visitor centre.
Children aged five to 11 are welcome and those under seven should be accompanied by an adult. Advanced booking is essential and the cost is £3.50 per child.
Cut Christmas trees will be on sale at the Wyre Forest visitor centre from Thursday, December 1, to Saturday, December 24.
