VICKI Evans took part in the fifth European Team Bowls Championships, at Vilamoura Bowls Club, Portugal, having qualified to play at these prestigious games where 14 countries compete.
Evans played in the singles and mixed pairs competitions, finishing with a total of 25 points.
For Evans, the highlight of the games was a singles match against the Irish world champion, Margaret Johnston, who has held the world gold singles three times.
After a close game, Johnston beat Evans by just one point on the final end of a nine-end set.
Evans began her bowling at Bromyard and says she never dreamt she would reach such dizzy heights as an international competition.
