EVERY picture tells a story for a Stourport caricaturist who is hoping to draw on his skills for business purposes.

Thirty-one year-old Andy Meanock has sketched images of people up and down the country at events ranging from fetes to carnivals and thinks there is more mileage in turning his hand to commercial commissions.

"I've always drawn cartoons - I started at eight years old," said Mr Meanock, of Kingsway, Burlish Park, who went on to attend art college.

"I've travelled the UK for the last two years, on the sea fronts and at events like summer festivals," he added.

Mr Meanock, whose wife, Amanda, produces pet portraits, has also recently designed artwork for skateboards and tattoos.

He has drawn caricatures of celebrities, including Bruce Dickinson, lead singer of heavy metal band, Iron Maiden.

"He was doing a record signing and I went along and wondered if he would let me do a caricature of him," said Mr Meanock. The rock star was so pleased with the finished product he took it home with him.

Explaining the caricaturist's art, he said: "It's just, basically, looking at the face, seeing which features stand out the most and what I can use as a detailed feature."

He believed companies could make use of his abilities if they wanted something offbeat and also hoped charities could use his services. Mr Meanock can be contacted on 07732 187153.
